Our Mission

As a community of believers committed to serve our Lord Jesus, we shall manifest a sincere love and joy to attract all families in the Simi, San Fernando, Conejo and Antelope Valleys to Jesus, equipping all who come to become soldiers of the cross, to do justice and love kindness in society, and to preach the gospel of peace, to the praise of God’s glory.​

Mission

  • Community (membership) – Our namesake.  Community or Commonwealth, as in Commonwealth of Israel. [Eph 2:12] We are fellow citizens [Eph 2:19], fellow heirs, fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ. [Eph 3:6]

  • Attract – “… Having favor with all the people.  And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.” [Acts 2:44-47]

  • Equipping (maturity) – church as training center and school. [Eph 4:12]

  • Justice and Kindness (ministry)—Two sides of God’s character and of the Church’s role in society, healing and convicting.  [Micah 6:8]

  • Gospel of Peace (missions)—Our namesake.  The gospel brings about peace between man and God, which is the prerequisite of peace among men.  [Eph 2:17]

  • Praise of God (magnify) – The ultimate purpose of all our activities.  [Eph 1:12, 14]

我們的使命

作為一個獻身事奉主耶穌的群體，我們要藉著真誠的愛心和喜樂，去吸引住在Simi，San Fernando，Conejo及Antelope Valleys的家庭來認識耶穌，並裝備信徒成為十架精兵，在社會上行公義，好憐憫，宣揚平安的福音，讓神的榮耀得著稱讚。

  • 群體 (成員) – 群體或國民，如「以色列國民」〔弗2:12〕，我們是與聖徒同國〔弗2:19〕，在基督裏同為後嗣，同為一體，同蒙應許〔弗3:6〕。

  • 吸引 – 「… 得眾民的喜愛，主將得救的人，天天加給他們。」〔使2:44-47〕

  • l裝備 (成熟) – 教會作為一所訓練中心和學校〔弗4:12〕

  • 公義與憐憫 (事工) – 神品格的兩方面，亦為教會在世上的雙重角色，就是醫治和責備〔彌6:8〕。

  • 平安的福音 (使命) – 我們的稱號。福音叫神、人之間得以和好，亦為人際之間和睦的先決條件。〔弗2:17〕

  • 神得稱讚 (尊主為大) – 我們一切活動的最終目標〔弗1:12, 14〕
